Description of Hyatt Regency Vancouver: After an $18 million renovation, Hyatt Regency Vancouver reopened in March 2002. The new design symbolizes all that we cherish in this region and re-establishes Hyatt as Vancouver's premier urban hotel. You'll find a West Coast look prominent throughout. Guests will experience our new look and think, "this must be Vancouver." While portraying a sophisticated environment that inspires tranquility and serenity, bold unexpected elements create visual impact in strategic places. Renovations included the main entrance, lobby, public areas and all meeting rooms. Additional meeting space was added for a total of 45,000 sq. ft. on four separate floors. The restaurant and bar were also completely redone and a new bistro was added in the lobby. Guestrooms were upgraded in 1999 and are the largest in the city.
