Description of Kwadacha Wilderness Provincial Park:
Kwadacha houses a diversity of habitat that supports ample wildlife, ranging from wolves to Siberian lemmings. If you are a bird enthusiast, this is the place to visit, with over 70 species of birds including grebes, teals, hawks, falcons, kestrels, eagles, warblers and even Lapland Longspurs. Watch for signs of bear activity and make plenty of noise. To help maintain the natural state of this area, pack out all garbage.
Wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping is allowed, but no facilities are provided. |
Description of Kutenai RV Park:
The park is 16 km/10 mi south of the Radium Hot Springs junction on Highway 93/95. There are full hookups, pull throughs, laundry, free showers. Guests have the use of a treed and lawned area with a private beach for swimming. No tenting, small pets OK. |

We are located on the shores of Kawkawa Lake, surrounded by magnificent mountains and accessible by paved road, making it an ideal location. Our dedicated and carefully selected staff are renowned for their hospitality and fun. They are trained to ensure our guests of all ages enjoy a fun and memorable experience. The incredible view of the lake and mountains from our dining hall provides a perfect setting for the excellent cuisine we are so well known for.
Our site is week-long children and youth program during the summer and guest groups no smaller than 20 during Septmber through until June.

Kekuli Bay Provincial Park is located off Highway 97, 11 km. south of Vernon. The park is situated on a beautiful bay on the west side of Kalamalka Lake, a destination for waterskiing and boating. A newly developed campground has been added to the area which formerly consisted only of a boat launch., Kekuli Bay is a brand new campground and, as such, has no shade. Many young shade trees were planted and the grassy areas between the sites are beautifully landscaped.
The park is open from May 1- Oct 31 after which the gate to the campground is locked.

Wide open spaces, great fishing, wildlife, old west history and a quieter camping spot can all be yours in less than a 90 minute drive from the central Okanagan. Located in the heart of cattle country, the rolling grasslands and dry open forest surround the sparkling turquoise waters of Kentucky Lake and Alleyne Lake. The scenery is spectacular from early April to late October with springs’ palette of soft pastels slowly changing to the vibrant golds of autumn.
This area is very popular for fishing and even features a 'children only' fishery to foster interest in the sport among youth. The ponds between Kentucky Lake and Alleyne Lake are open only to those under the age of 16. The lakes and ponds are stocked with rainbow trout from the Summerland Trout Hatchery. Depending on temperatures, there are ice fishing opportunities in the park.

Overnight campers and avid fishers will find Kinaskan Lake to be the perfect spot to stop and relax. The campsites provide a spectacular introduction to northern scenery. From the campground, located at lake's edge, visitors are afforded sweeping views up the length of the lake with Todagen Mountains to the east and the Klastline Plateau to the west.
Located at the south end of Kinaskan Lake between the Skeena and Coast Mountain Ranges, this park offers spectacular scenery and good rainbow trout fishing. The Iskut River runs through the park to the south, where it enters a smaller lake called Natadesleen. The Little Iskut River branches off to the west into Mt. Edziza Provincial Park and Recreation Area.
The floating wharf and excellent boat ramp make it easy to launch your boat.
Rainbow trout are abundant in Kinaskan and Natadesleen Lakes, averaging .5 kg in weight and 30 cm in length. Fish from shore or boat, fly fish, cast, or troll with just about any lure, the hard-fighting rainbow are waiting.

Kleanza Creek Provincial Park is located amongst the forests and rock canyons in the Coast Mountains. Occupying frontage on the Skeena River and on both sides of Kleanza Creek, the park is of historical significance. Kleanza means gold in the Gitxsan language and it was this metal that influenced the early history of the park site. Placer mining for gold was first carried out in the creek in the late 1890’s.
The lakes and waterways of the area can provide good fishing. Dolly Varden, steelhead, and rainbow trout are the principal species.

Located north of Nelson, ruggedly beautiful Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park offers an excellent backcountry adventure for the whole family. Sitting mostly above 1,800 metres in elevation, the park has three glaciers - Kokanee, Caribou, and Woodbury - which feed over 30 lakes and are the headwaters of many creeks. Kokanee Lake is 1,200 metres in length and 400 metres wide; surrounded by precipitous cliffs and rock slides, it's an alpine jewel. Other scenic lakes in the park include the gem-coloured Sapphire Lakes, milky Joker Lakes, and popular Gibson, Kaslo and Tanal Lakes, which offer good fishing for rainbow and cutthroat trout. With 85 km of well-marked trails and a resident staff of rangers, this park is appropriate for campers and hikers and climbers with all levels of outdoor experience.

Maybe snowmobiling in some of our fabulous alpine mountain terrain or maybe snow shoeing along the pristine, snow covered Sugar Lake, stopping every once in a while to view the majestic mountains which make their home around Sugar Lake. Then again, maybe you are a fishing fanatic and ice fishing for our Rainbow and bull Trout, which are in excess of 15 lbs, is what you are after.
