#1 Chataway Lakes Resort, Merritt, BC Description of Chataway Lakes Resort, Merritt, BC: Roughing it at Chataway adds to the total experience. There is no plumbing in the cabins or in the campsite. During our high season (May to October) we have a centrally located shower house where you can have hot showers all day until 9:30 P.M.There are no flushed toilets, outhouses only. The cabins all sleep four persons comfortably, with either two double beds or a double bed and a set of single bunk beds. You need to bring your own bedding. Each cabin offers a wood burning stove and a propane cook top stove for comfort and convenience, but there are no fridges in the cabins, therefore you do need to bring your own cooler.
